As your group and a group from another church meet together, use this study guide (and the DVD) to help facilitate interaction, biblical reflection, and prayer. It is our hope that your (combined) group will be able to get together for one to four gatherings of fellowship and service in our city between Easter (March 23) and the end of May. We hope that many of our groups will find a way to serve together in Jesus’s name on May 3-4 (www.bigsunday.org). This study guide will provide a framework for getting to know others in the group, understanding the scripture, and applying it to our lives. In addition, it provides special discussion sessions to help the groups debrief their service activities together.

For six weeks before Easter we asked everyone at Bel Air Presbyterian Church to join a small group, and we integrated our sermons with our small group curriculum. This year, the six sessions focused on “This is My Body” and looked at how Jesus redefines relationship in six incidents at table in the gospel of Luke. This study guide will provide a framework for getting to know others in the group, understanding the scripture, and applying it to our lives. In the companion DVD (below), Dr. Mark Brewer of Bel Air Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. Kenneth C. Ulmer of Faithful Central Bible Church, and Dr. Michael Lee of Young Nak English Ministry provide further context for the Scripture and interaction.
